Unarmed for the Screen: Combat and Stunt Training

Step into the world of action performance with this fast-paced, hands-on course in unarmed combat for stage and screen. Designed for emerging performers, this training covers the core techniques and principles behind creating safe, realistic, and dynamic fight sequences. 

Students will learn how to execute choreographed physical interactions using professional stunt practices, with a strong focus on safety, storytelling, and technical accuracy—whether performing for a live audience or the camera.

Overview

This course is ideal for aspiring stunt performers and screen actors, theatre and film professionals looking to expand their physical performance skills, performers preparing for action-heavy roles, physical theatre artists and choreographers exploring combat for storytelling.

No previous combat experience required – just a willingness to move, collaborate, and commit to safe, disciplined practice. Across the two-hour sessions you will learn how to execute choreographed physical interactions using professional stunt practices safely while improving storytelling and technical accuracy.
